Our latest venture, Ask The Post AI, is a generative AI chatbot that uses Retrieval Augmented Generation to answer user questions based on our extensive reporting. This tool, developed from our AI Pod R&D lab, connects readers to a library of our journalism, providing answers with citations to original articles. Ask The Post AI began with Climate Answers, a successful collaboration with our Climate Desk. Now, it uses Meta's Llama LLM models to offer fact-based responses. Guided by our new Chief AI Officer, Sam Han, we continue to refine this tool, ensuring it meets ethical and journalistic standards.
